University requirements and Admission procedure

  • Admissions are made on the basis of academic qualifications required and in accordance with the prevailing rules of the Institute and the affiliating Universities.
  • Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates as per University norms/Central Government rules.
  • Applicants are advised to refer to the Admission Notification or to contact the concerned person for details pertaining to these reservations.
  • Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination and awaiting results are eligible to apply for admission. However, they are expected to produce the certificate of declaration of results/marksheet on or before the notified date failing which admission will not be considered even though they have qualified in the entrance examination.
  • All admissions made will be provisional and subject to confirmation of eligibility by the respective Universities. In addition, any other documentation, if required, by the affiliating university has to be procured by the candidate within a stipulated time for the grant of eligibility.
  • APPLICATIONS AND PROSPECTUS can be obtained either in person or by post, submitting a demand draft in favour of“The Director, AYJNIHH, Mumbai”, payable at Mumbai for Rs.750/- for General Category and Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PH/OBC (Fees in the form of cash or cheque will not be accepted).
  • ISSUE OF APPLICATIONS: Application form can be downloaded from our websites ayjnihh.nic.in , nihhsrc.nic.in
  • FILLED IN APPLICATIONS along with necessary enclosures should be submitted to the centre to which admission is sought before the last date, by clearly subscribing the name of the course on top of the envelope.
  • The ICR summary sheet of Osmania University should also be filled and submitted along with application form. The same can be downloaded from the website.
  • If entrance exam is conducted the ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FEE of Rs.600/- for Gen/OBC and Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PWD’s by way of demand draft in favour of “Asst. Director, AYJNIHH,SRC’ payable at Secunderabad should be submitted along with filled in application form .
  • RESERVATION (a) Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per rules (Seats reserved for SC/ST (b) Seats are reserved for OBC candidates based on the guidelines issued by the Central Government.

I  M.ASLP Course
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:  (1) Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (B.ASLP) or Equivalent degree recognized by the respective university & RCI (including Internship). (2) Internship is mandatory for candidates who passed B.Sc./its equivalent after 2001. (3) 50% marks for general category/ OBC and 45% for SC/ST/PWD.
Candidates appearing for the final examination are also eligible to apply for the courses. However, the candidates have to produce certificates of declaration of results at the time of counseling, failing which admission will not be considered even though they have qualified in the entrance examination.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:  Selection is based on entrance examination conducted by Osmania University for the candidates applied in response to this notification.

II. B.ASLP

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:  Intermediate/ 10+2 passed or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & any one subject of Biology/ Mathematics/Computer science, Statistics / Electronics / Psychology from a recognized Board in India or abroad
Candidates appearing for the final examination awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the courses. However, the candidates have to produce certificates of declaration of results at the time of counseling, failing which admission will not be considered even though they have qualified in the entrance examination.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:  Selection based either on entrance examination conducted by Osmania University or on merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 optional subjects). For the candidates applied in response to this notification.

LATERAL ENTRY TO SECOND YEAR B.ASLP:
Number of seats available is 3 (three only)
Successfully passed DHLS revised course from any RCI recognized Training Institute. b) Two years of work experience in the field after the completion of DHLS revised course. (c) Candidates passed pre-revised DHLS course recognized by RCI with 2 years work experience and complete 3 months short course approved by RCI from RCI recognized institutes, and (d) Selection is based on entrance test.

III. B.Ed SPL. Ed (HI):
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:   B.Sc./BA/B.Com from Osmania University or its equivalent, with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for Gen/OBC/’s and 45% for SC/ST/PWD category.
Candidates appearing for the final examination awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the courses. However, the candidates have to produce certificates of declaration of results at the time of counseling, failing which admission will not be considered even though they have qualified in the entrance examination.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:  Selection based either on entrance examination conducted by Osmania University or on merit basis (marks obtained in degree optional subjects only)for the candidates applied in response to this notification.

 

IV.D.Ed.SPL.Ed (HI):
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:  Intermediate/ 10+2 or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board of education.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:  Selection is purely on merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2).
